I'm CaZ, the Writer Success Coach, and I'm a writer, editor, coach, and entrepreneur. I've spent years helping authors—from fiction writers to business professionals—bring their stories and ideas to life and get them published.
I'm a multi-published author with extensive behind-the-scenes publishing experience, and I've helped hundreds of writers see their books in print and hit bestseller lists. At The Author's Voice, I focus on creating training and support services that help writers develop both their craft and their professional skills.
My approach is simple: writing doesn't have to be lonely. Every story and every project gets better with experienced guidance, honest feedback, and the right support system.
Oh, and CaZ is pronounced KayZee, in case you were wondering.
My love of books has run the gamut, from carrying armloads of books home from the library to working in the library and becoming a certified professional who educates and helps people publish their books, create systems so readers find them, and make money as an author.
During summer breaks in high school and college, I worked at the public libraries shelving books and putting them in alphabetical or numerical order. You’d never know it today, but at the time, I thought it was the most boring task a person could do. Ah, kids!
Years later, I was introduced to a writing group. The members had written manuscripts, journals, and poetry, but they didn’t know what was next: how to publish, market so people discover them, or find the publishing pros to help and whom to trust. The light bulbs in my brain started flashing; ideas filled my thoughts. I was a member of the International Virtual Assistant Association (IVAA) and and they were offering a scholarship so I applied for the Jan B. King Memorial Scholarship for Certified Author/Speaker Assistants and won!
Today, I focus my skillset on three areas: education, business, and project management—educating and supporting authors to feel confident navigating the publishing process and professional book editing and proofreading, so their stories can be told and shared to help others and make a difference.
Peter is a graduate of Morehead State University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Within six months of graduation, he decided to switch gears and lean into his top-notch writing skills by joining Colleen at Your Literary Prose.
He initially worked through day-to-day operations as the designated “tech guru.” (A recent grad being good at tech? No way!) But since then, Peter’s skills have grown alongside Your Literary Prose. He is now their primary copywriter, a non-fiction editor with a focus on memoirs, and a publishing project manager for clients.
Peter's main goal when working with writers and authors is to help them connect with their readers. He enjoys how each day is different when working in their small business, and reading each new, fascinating story that comes across his desk. No two days are the same, just like no two stories are the same. And he wouldn’t have it any other way.
